This week I think it’s time to discuss how I feel
about Halo 4 the game. I love playing the game but in my own option I thought
the game did not have a lasting appeal. What I mean by that is, when you had
played any of the other Halo Games you just wanted to just keep on playing the
game over and over. I remember when Halo 1 and 2 came out; I must have played
the campaign over and over on each difficulty. With the new Halo game I have
only played it twice since November. I think that it totally sucks that I bought
this 60 some dollar game and just have very little passion to play the game
over and over like I have with its older counterparts.
Luckily there are some good notes like the new enemy’s
class called Prometheans and how they make the game extra problematic. These Prometheans
have three different class called Knights, Crawlers and Watchers. These guys
make the game fun to play and a little more interesting in the end. I just wanted
Halo 4 to have fewer stories and more action like the other games did. I know that’s
slightly naïve, because when games are made to counter their older games there will
be improvements here and there and won’t be able to satisfy every fans needs
and wants. My last thought about the game is I still love it I just wanted a
couple changes here and there. Plus I believe I will still be collecting every
Halo game that will follow Halo 4.
im a huge fan of the halo franchise and i cant wait for the next one to come out but for this last one i actually thought they were very repetitive in the game even though it was alot of fun. they seriously did take this game in a new direction but i think this will be a interesting campaign we get to play with these next games.
ReplyDeleteI am also a huge fan of the halo series and I have played all the games. I also have halo 4 which is one of my favorites. I have not played the campaign yet, I am just too into the online play. I love the online play. I also really like Halo Reach, just for the online play also I really like swat and big team battle. My xbox live name is zachbro maybe add me and we could play online sometime, but anyways I cant wait to see what else you post about.
ReplyDeleteAs a fellow gamer I enjoyed your review of Halo 4 the game, although I am fairly new to the Halo series and have just started Halo 4 a few months back. I get what you're saying when you say that Halo 4 doesn't have the replay-ability like the other games in the series but I believe that what the game lacks in its campaign, it completely makes up for in its online multiplayer feature. As a huge Call of Duty series fan, I really like that they added a "create a class" feature as I think it adds I bit of depth to the game that otherwise wasn't there. I have to say that, overall after reading your blog, I really enjoyed getting to hear another gamers opinion on different games and how you really enjoy achieving achievements just like I do. If I were to give you one piece if advice as how to improve your blog I would have to say work on organization. I really think that you do a great job getting a lot of great thoughts down in few words but for example on your critique of Halo 4, may I suggest that you were to break your ideas down into subcategories such as pros and cons or what you liked and what you think the developers should have changed and maybe ending with an overall game rating or something like that.
ReplyDeleteI am fairly new to the Xbox 360 and Halo 4 was my first purchase for it. I love the graphics and the fact that you view it in the first-person aspect. I was pleasantly surprised that the campaigns changed when playing in one-player mode versus multi-player mode. It gave my partner fair grounds against me since I was none the wiser for what was expected. I recently rented Halo 3, just as a comparison, and was disappointed that some of the features that were featured and loved were not carried on in the fourth one; for example: the dual weapons. You should not offer such a great asset in a prior game and then not offer it in the following. Perhaps, however, I just have not figured out how since I am new to the game. Overall, I think your blog was well written. Only suggestion I would give is to possibly add a bit of a summary of the game for those of us who have never played it before.
ReplyDeleteI understand what you mean about this particular game. My boyfriend spent almost 5 hours in line to get this game. He then went home to play it, I did not hear from him for two days. I thought he liked it, turns out he was severely disappointed in it.
ReplyDeleteHe talked me into playing it once, I hated it, I liked Reach better. They guys that could be respawned, hated them died all the time. I do not like losing, and all this game did was make me lose. I went back to Reach, and he went to MineCraft. (I do not like this game either)
